Is this more a “Public Safety” concern or a dangerous trend?

Police in Topeka, Kansas are apparently treating motorists like dangerous criminals– even for traffic stops.  It seems they are requiring everyone to keep their hands in plain view and are planning on taking action for non-compliance.

According to Phil Anderson, a writer for the Topeka Capital Journal’s cjonline.com, police officers recently asked motorists to show their hands during vehicle stops. Read his article here
